Saara was started on one northern summer night by the Lake Päijänne in Finland. “We share passion for home deco but couldn’t find any interesting Finnish homeware that was the right mix of inspiration, contemporary design and speaks of Finnishness as of today” So, Riia and Satu went ahead and created SAARA.
Satu designs Saara in Hong Kong from her Finnish roots to serve international homes. Saara tableware is of colourful, classy and straightforward design that does not date.

The recognition was granted by the Association for Finnish Work in 2012.
